As LA fires burn, SoCal Edison allowed to raise rates for 2017 blaze


Probably to no one's surprise, California Public Utilities Commission regulators on Thursday rubber-stamped a settlement that will require Southern California Edison customers to pay about $1.7 billion through their electric bills to reimburse the utility for expenses it incurred after the 2017 Thomas Fire, caused by its equipment, and the resulting 2018 Montecito Debris Flows, once again allowing a power utility to literally get away with murder and get rewarded for it to boot!
