Scientists study effects of wildfire management on bird populations
Wildfire NOTD subscriber Scott Stephens, Co-Director of UC Berkeley's Center for Fire Research and Outreach, commented on how frequent wildfires can decimate chaparral, which, combined with the detrimental impact mastication of chaparral is having on the California Floristic Province, endangers one-quarter of all bird species found there.
