Between wildfires, land in the US West has short 10- to 15-year reprieve


Researchers from the University of Colorado Denver and Portland State University published findings in the journal Environmental Research Letters which showed that there are about 10-15 years between major blazes in the same area, which is not enough time for the forest to fully regenerate.
