Op-Ed: Yosemite’s sequoias survived the latest wildfire. Not all national parks will be so lucky


A former superintendent of Joshua Tree National Park, who was chief of project management at Yosemite National Park, urged Congress to allocate additional funding to national parks to conduct more wildfire mitigation work to protect natural resources and reduce the carbon dioxide being pumped into the atmosphere in the form of wildfire smoke.
