Area firefighting pilots take practice run with giant helitankers in day, night conditions
Helicopter crews from the Quick Reaction Force serving Ventura, Los Angeles and Orange County fire departments demonstrated their night vision skills Wednesday evening in CH-47 Chinook and Sikorsky helitankers, operating out of the 69 Bravo helispot near Topanga Canyon in Southern California's Santa Monica Mountains.
