Bipartisan bill to create new wildland firefighting training, positions through Job Corps

The bipartisan “Civilian Conservation Center Enhancement Act of 2023” bill would direct the Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior to create specialized wildland firefighting training for students in the Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center to prepare them to enter into careers fighting fires and caring for public lands.
