Following a year in which nearly 78,000 wildfires blazed across the U.S., representing a 20% increase over 2024, Microsoft is investing in AI-powered wildfire detection, as hotter temperatures, prolonged drought and expanding development increase the wildfire risk to communities and ecosystems.
