U.S. Forest Service begins fall planned burns to reduce fire risk
U.S. Forest Service's Pacific Southwest Region fire director announced the start of its fall prescribed burning program, which will entail efforts across all 18 of California’s national forests to reduce wildfire risk and restore the health of forest ecosystems.
