Climate change should tamp down California’s wildfire-fanning Santa Ana winds, study finds


Although climate change is worsening wildfires, Southern California may actually benefit from it, according to a new study by researchers at UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography, who project that Santa Ana winds will become about 18% less frequent toward the end of the century if climate change continues unabated.
