Forest Service skipped California wildfire prevention during shutdown, D.C. delegation demands account


In a letter sent to the USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue, who oversees the U.S. Forest Service, 40 California members of Congress rebuked the agency and demanded answers about the 35 day shutdown’s effect on fire prevention.
